The 2020 pandemic was something unexpected for everybody, it changed the curse of the History forever, we will never see life in the same way again, we learned to value our health, our life and our beloved ones, and even to appreciate the moments of tranquility we had before this crisis, those moments where we didn’t have to worry the same way as we do right now about the economy, the employment and the future.
Before the pandemic expanded for the entire world, many experts asked themselves what was going to happen in the poor regions, over all in those countries in Latin America and Africa that they don’t even have a good health system to help the people, and even there is a shortage of medicines.
The effects in the world no matter what country we talk about have been devastating, all the economies in the world will have a negative growth in their economy, just India and China will have a positive indicator in their GDP, but it doesn’t mean they didn’t have troubles too, in India the ciphers of infected and death people were alarming, and in China many enterprises menaced to leave the country, also Donald Trump failed in his attempt to look for the reelection, an important factor for that was the pandemic, which destroyed all that he reached during his presidency in economy, and that was a standard for him, also he was very criticized for his handling of the pandemic.
The effects in countries of Latin America have been very strong, starting from the fall of the prices of the source materials, which generates a fall in the earnings of the country, highlighting the fall of the price of the oil, in the future people won’t use this as a source of energy, but if this was not enough now in this year we watched this crisis, which should carry to some countries like Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Mexico to ask themselves if it is worth to continue depending of the oil to have a secure entry.
Other important facts that affected the latin american economies were the fall in the tourism demand, the affectation of the supply chain, which provoked a fall in the production, and the last fact, many economies had to appeal to endowment to face the crisis, which generates distrust in the investors, and take their capitals to safer places.
The pandemic have to make reflect, over all in the governments of the poorest countries, the need to invest in the people, to improve the health systems, to give assistance to the enterprises, otherwise the affectations to the economies would be terrible, due the enterprises generate the majority of the employees.
But over all, something the pandemic teaches to us, is that we all are connected, something that happens in the other side in the world can affect our community, so we have to reflect about our actions, to stop destroying the nature, to improve our habits, and to fight together to solve all the future problems, as the pandemic affected all the world, also our good actions can make a difference.
